Unity

In February last year God gave me the opportunity to come to Norway and share about the work that we are doing in Costa Rica. We rise at that time enough money to open a coffee house in down town San Jose that is allowing us now to provide a safe place for the woman and man to come to get to know us better and vice versa. Once a week we have English class for them and this next year we are going to start more programs like bible studies. The goal is to be able to get to know them better so we can have a greater influence in their life.

Yesterday, I got the opportunity to share in the same church that I shared last February and this man after the service came to me and told me, how encourage he was because of what I share about their church being a huge part of what we are doing in Costa Rica. He got me thinking... Without their support and many people generosity through all 2011 we would not be able to be where we are and without the team that is working faithfully as part of Freedom Street, this ministry would not be able to exist... So many people would not be able to feel Loved by God in the streets if we all would not be working together.

One of my favorite Bible chapter is 1 Cor 12 that talks about the diversity and the unity with in the body of Christ. It is a beautiful gift from God that we can work together and be part of what God is doing in us and through us.  

⁴ There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. ⁵There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. ⁶ There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. ⁷ Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 

I just want to encourage you to be part of what God is doing all around us, it may not look the same for everyone but you can be the piece of the puzzle that is missing.

¹⁸ But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. ¹⁹ If they were all one part, where would the body be?²⁰ As it is, there are many parts, but one body.
